About

Kim Kyle is a brilliant Texas songwriter whose life and music are woven deeply into the fabric of the state’s music scene. A longtime fixture of the Houston music community, she is a powerful and seasoned performer and vocalist who began her career more than four decades ago in a trio with Marie English and Lisa Morales, opening for luminaries such as Chris Isaak and k.d. lang. She later fronted the band Kim Martin & Mustang and spent years as a dynamic lead vocalist in various cover and country bands across Texas and Oklahoma, playing legendary venues from Houston’s Mucky Duck alongside Houston great Jack Saunders, to performing in the house band at Tulsa’s storied Wormy Dog — a pivotal venue that helped shape and establish the Red Dirt genre and sound. These days, she continues to perform in a variety of ensembles, including alongside longtime sideman and frontman Willie B in his cover band, the T-Cats.
